Sub-entity - Portal

Portal serves for passage between sectors and for visibility setting of objects associated with these sectors.

Each portal has to have its double. If a portal leads into the world sector, the double is created automatically.


Basic properties in the Properties tab

Closing dist. distance from camera in which the portale "closes"
Current sets the current distance between camera and the object center
Items visibility distance between camera and portal - when exceeded, only the objects linked to the sector in 3DS MAX are drawn.
Current sets the current distance between camera and the object center
Fading dist. distance between camera and portal where the portal color begins to fade
Current sets the current distance between camera and the object center
Portal color portal color fade switch
R, G, B portal color,
click on color to open the color selection dialog
Holding down Shift and right-clicking on a color acts as an eyedropeer
Copy doubler's props sets the values identical to the portal's double


Portal double's name
Change to sets selection to the double
Select into selects both portals
